Age
The age rating in our filmteaser trailer is a 15. We chose this because thetrailer will show violent objects and killings . Under the BBFC ratings its says that a film with strong language and scenes of a moderate violence should be rated at a 15. Also the actors in the film are within the age range, they are both 17 so it helps appeal to an audience of 15-24.
Ethnicity
In our trailer the character are caucasion as this tends to be typical of the horror genre, However we have not specifically just chosen to have caucasion actors it's also due to the fact that we couldn't get the actors. If we could get actors of different ethnicity we would as it would help to widen the appeal of the trailer.
Gender
Generally a common convention of horror films is to have a male as the protagonist who comes through the evil and ends up victorious .There is a risk that we could decrease our potential as we do not have a final girl in our trailer.
Economic groupings
I think our teaser trailer will appeal will appeal to upper middle class (C1) and lower middle class (C2) and working class (DE) groupings because horror films are not usually aimed at upper class, they normally watch period drama or films of a higher intellectual level.
Nationality/Region
Our teaser trailer will appeal to an English audience because the actors and settings are English. Horror movies usually have a heavy American influence and are generally high budget if they do. The lower budget British horrors will appeal to a more niche audience primarily because they don't have any American actors. Also on a regioal scale our trailer will appeal to a yorkshire audience as it features a famous yorkshire landmark, the Cow and Calf.
Fans of
Fans of our trailer will probably also be fans of films like Halloween because the well known horrors were a big influence on the making of our trailer, we studied their shots as they have obviously been very successful in hope that incorporating their camera techniques will help us to get a better finished product on our horror film. Also fans of a britsh film which incorporates scary elements such as dead mans shoes by shane meadows, the film isnt a horror film but a times is very scary and we have tried to use some of its ideas and camera shots. Also another group of fans who may enjoy our trailer would be fans who enjoy movies with a twist and riddle. We didnt want our idea to be straight forward, we liked the thought of the audience guessing through as it will keep them more interested, again links can be made towards Dead Mans Shoes as it was the inspiration behind a twist ending.
Sexuality
Our trailer has hetrosexual actors as this seems to be more typical of the horror genre, The trailer is prodominantley male based but we will consider for example adding female characters or homosexual characters in order to widen the appeal our trailer has.
Phychographic profile
Some one who i think would enjoy our trailer would be someone who likes gritty realism film such as "Sweet sixteen". I want to keep the trailer as real as possible and stray away from more american style big budget films with a hollywood feel. The fact that we have an extremely low budget works to our advantage in this area.

Evaluation Part 1
In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?
Another way in which we will use conventions from real media products is with props and mise-en-scene. In our trailer there is the use of a large kitchen knife much like the one used in Halloween.
In many of the horror trailers that i watched i noticed they used flashes of black or white in a pulse like motion. We have decided to use flashes to white at the start of the trailer because they look very effective and as we've only used them over the antagonist it not only helps identify him to the audience but also gives his appearance on screen more impact.
Our media product uses conventions of real media products, for our teaser trailer we have done research into various trailer such as Halloween 2, Drag me to hell and The Orphan this helped us gain an understanding of what we needed to deliver in our trailer. One of the conventions we are going to use is the use of long drawn out sounds and piano style music, these are traditionally used in lots of horror films, a very famous example of this is John Carpenters Halloween. Also the tempo of the music in man horror trailer starts off slow and then builds to increase the tension of the trailer. Like many horror trailer alot of the scenes we use will be in a dark setting late at night, this helps give a more typically horror feel as you cannot see everything clearly. At the beginning of our trailer we use grey scale over the shots to give a feel that these clips are a past event. We got the idea to do this from the trailer for Halloween 2.
At the start of the media task me and my partner decided on doing a short film originally and did lots of research into them, but as we got further into the task we though we could create a better impact if we made a teaser trailer. The research into short films helped us in our teaser trailer. We found that most of the short films we watched had a twist at the end and we thought this was very effective so we have incorporated this into our trailer.
One of the most influential films we watched was dead mans shoes by Shane meadows. this was the film which gave us the idea for the final twist at the end and also the use of a mask to cover the face of the killer and make him seem more menacing.Another way in which we will use conventions from real media products is with props and mise-en-scene. Teaser trailer definition
A teaser trailer, or teaser is a short trailer used to advertise an upcoming movie, game or television series.
Teasers, unlike typical theatrical trailers, are usually very short in length (between 30–60 seconds) and usually contain little, if any, actual footage from the film. Sometimes, it is merely a truncated version of a theatrical trailer. They are usually released long in advance of the film they advertise. One of the reasons for the name "teaser" is because they are shown usually a long time (one or one and a half years) before the movie comes out, so as to "tease" the audience.
Teasers are also commonly used in advertising. (source, Wikepedia, Teaser trailer)

Text:
The title is usually at the top of the page and in a large font. The font and colour of the text is usually determined by the main feature photo. There are also smaller informative pieces of text which give you details of what you can find in this edition of the magazine.
Price:
On the front of most of the magazines the barcode and price are positioned near an edge out of the way of the centre piece.
Colour Scheme:
Most of the magazines tend to follow a colour scheme related to the movie which that particular edition of the magazines is focused on. For example up above is an edition of Empire magazine which focuses on iron man 2. The iron colours in the iron man picture are used in the text for most of the other text on the front cover.
